Marykay Michaels brings a unique combination of talents and experiences to New Technology Foundation, all of which relate aptly to our core values.

In a very short time, Marykay rose through the ranks to become Director of Heald Institute of Technology in Martinez, California, a private, non-profit college. There, she administered a $2.1M budget, managed staff and faculty members, and orchestrated the complete renovation of the vocational college campus.

After leaving Heald, Marykay served in a variety of integral operational, management, marketing, and technical roles for high-tech start-up firms and a curriculum publishing company. Most recently, Marykay managed marketing and information technology for DNC Park & Reports’Asilomar and Yosemite Operations. At Asilomar, she also facilitated educational, environmental and scientific conferences, hosting esteemed speakers including Steven Hawkings, James D. Watson, and Peter Fonda.

These real-world experiences are complemented by Marykay’s life-long passion for applying technology to precisely meet organizational and educational needs. That passion, combined with her rich background in non-profits, curriculum, technology, and operations is being put to good use in all phases of New Technology Foundation’s work.
