Mark leads New Technology Foundation'sT Leadership Development program's effort to support 21st Century High School principals' ability to lead unique and complex 21st Century High Schools. Prior to this he was the founding Director of Napa New Technology High SchoolT (NTHS) from 1996 - 2005, the flagship school for the NTHS Network. There he led the creation of a small 21st Century High School model known nationally and internationally for 21st Century learning through its break-the-mold school design and instructional practices.

His articles on 21st Century Schools have appeared in publications such as Converge, Syllabus, and Thrust for Educational Leadership. In addition, he has been featured on a number of television shows devoted to 21st Century Schools, including ZDTV - The Money Machine, California Teachers Association - Quest for Excellence, and a PBS special.

Mark has over 20 years of service to public education and holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration from the California State University, Northridge and a BA in Social Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. .
