The Los Angeles School of Global Studies is one of the first Network schools in Southern California. The public school opened in the fall of 2006 for grades 9-11.

The school is in the process of forming active partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions and community groups that will support the school with their involvement. These partners include the UNITE-LA, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Alliance for Better Communities; California State University Los Angeles, TV studios and a variety of technology related enterprises. In addition, space has been allocated for a parent center. The parent center will take an active role in seeking and inviting parents to be partners with the school in the education of their children as well as providing training for parents on strategies to support their child's learning.
