Cherokee New Technology High School is the one of the first Network schools in North Carolina. The school opened in Fall 2006.

Cherokee High School is located on the Qualla Boundary in The Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. It is near the borders of both the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Although Cherokee High School is a state accredited school, it also follows the guidelines as set forth by the Office of Indian Education.

The community, the staff, and the students of Cherokee High School believe in preserving the Cherokee Culture while in the pursuit of excellence in education.
