New Technology High School’s Production of Hansel & Gretel

Napa, CA – New Technology High School is presenting a delightfully amusing variation of the Grimm classic: “Hansel and Gretel”.

This fun filled frolic begins while a hungry greedy boy and his clever sister encounter hobgoblins, a troll and a witch while looking for berries for their supper. Only then do they come to realize the truth behind the stories they never quite believed about the mysterious witch in the forest. The two also encounter other Grimm characters as the adventure continues through a haunted forest.

Directed by NTHS Drama instructor Margaret Dennett, the production will feature Andrew Zaslove as Hansel, Brianna McGee as Gretel and Sonia Hernandez as the witch. Other students in the production are James Royston as Fredrick, Natasha Chapman as Susie, Red Riding Hood and Snow White, Alan Chesborough as the prince, Julia Chandler-Drake as Johanna, Erin Noonan as Lydia, Anna Jarschke as Frick, Alicia Heitzman as Frack, Tessa Levine as the owl, Kathleen Cantu as the Dew Princess and Alec Jarvey as Echo and Kristien Helmick-Ross as the Sandman. Drama students also took leadership rolls in, set design, costumes, lighting, sound, stagehands and props.

Performances are Friday November 4, 2005 at 7:30, Saturday November 5th at 7:30 and
Sunday, November 6th at 2:00 p.m. and are held at the NVUSD auditorium located at 2425
