Barry Martin Joins the New Technology FoundationT Board
Napa, CA - At the quarterly New Technology FoundationT Board meeting held on July 27, 2007, Board chair, Will Wyman welcomed Barry Martin to the NTFT Board of Directors.
"Barry will be a great addition to our efforts as we expand our network of schools from coast to coast. We welcome his creative talents, thoughtful suggestions and a clear voice of reason", said Wyman. His professional expertise will help us to better communicate and serve a network of over 36 schools, now with over 11,000 students enrolled in our rigorous curriculum focusing on developing 21 st Century learning skills."
Rob Kusel, NTFT Board member and Vice President of Essex and Drake Fund Raising Counsel, shared Wyman's enthusiasm. "First and foremost, Barry is the proud parent of NTHST alum, Nate Martin, Class of 2002. Barry was grateful that NTHS's learning style fit Nate's capabilities and really helped his son get through the high school years in a positive and productive way."

Martin communicates for a living. Known locally for his many years on the radio, Martin became a communications consultant in 2001 and today is the City of Napa's Community Outreach Coordinator and Public Information Officer for the Napa River Flood Project. He is the President of the Board of Napa TV-Channels 27 and 28, and serves on the Board of the Napa Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Napa Valley, and the Kiwanis Club of Napa. He is also a nationally-accredited soccer coach, holding the USSF "C" license.
Barry's wife Maureen McCullough is an elementary school teacher. Their son, a 2002 graduate of New Tech High SchoolT in Napa, is a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps recently returned from Iraq. Their daughter, Sarah Martin, is preparing for her second year of college at Napa Valley College including digital media presentations.
