This experience will provide you an opportunity to:

  • Observe students and teachers engaged in project based teaching and learning
  • Meet with staff members to discuss topics such as subject-area projects, integrated curriculum and curriculum standards
  • Hear students reflect upon and assess their own work and that of their peers

Students learn in an innovative and professional environment fostered by the use of advanced learning methods and technology. Both staff and students welcome the challenge and understand the commitment necessary to implement a rigorous and relevant curriculum, one in which technology standards and skill development are embedded.

In order to more effectively plan for the future, New Technology Foundation (NTF) , a 501(c)(3) organization, was formed. The Board of Directors oversees the development of the unique alliances and business partnerships necessary for the continued success of New Technology High School as a national model, allowing it to have a significant positive impact on national educational reform.

NTHS is successfully achieving its goals, demonstrated by the significant accomplishments achieved since the school was established in 1996. There has been national and international interest in the innovations that have been proven to work - interests that have established a demand for replication of the model program.

Through funding to the New Technology Foundation by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Replication Project is assisting school districts and communities in building and opening high schools modeled after Napa's New Technology High SchoolT.

Ultimately, the intent of the NTF is to use the NTHS Network as an example to the national education reform of what a high school of the future looks like and how it can improve and expand the learning experience.

For the comfort and safety of our students, it is requested that you leave all cell phones, cameras, video equipment and tape recorders at home or work, or in your vehicle. Cell phones and filming are not allowed inside the school. Thank you for your cooperation.
